The Hand and Crown Wins 2021 Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Award

The Hand and Crown has been recognized as a 2021 Travelers’ Choice award winner and it is in the top 10% of Restaurants Worldwide. This achievement celebrates businesses that consistently deliver fantastic experiences to diners around the globe, having earned great traveler reviews on Tripadvisor over the last 12 months. As challenging as the past year was, The Hand and Crown stood out by continuously delighting diners.

Pub and Restaurant Manager Josh Grover said; “We are absolutely blown away by this recognition in what has been an extremely challenging year for us and the hospitality industry. We have been committed to ensuring that the health and safety of our staff and customers has been at the forefront of our priorities and we have worked hard to continue to implement measures to keep diners safe whilst still enjoying our warm and welcoming experience and quality food. Our new Pavilion and outdoor space has meant that we have been able to adapt and create even more space for small groups to dine al fresco or come and enjoy a drink outside and this has been extremely popular with our guests”.

The Hand and Crown Pub is a 16th Century Inn and it is the oldest Inn in Hertfordshire.  Well known for its warm welcome and delicious home-made food.

The site of The Hand & Crown was popular with King Henry VIII and his then wife, Anne Boleyn.  They were both avid falconists and the pubs logo represents the hand “Gauntlet” and Crown “Falcon Hood”.
